Eligibility:

Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from a recognized university/institution (within and outside India)

or

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a B1 level of language competence in Spanish (as per CEFR) or an Advanced Diploma of Proficiency in Spanish from a recognized institution/university (within and outside India)

The School of Foreign Languages has designed the M.A. programme in Spanish (MASL). This programme of study seeks to offer a comprehensive understanding of Hispanic culture, literature and history to the learners, enabling them to comprehend the current developments in the region. The programme comprises courses on the syncretic evolution of the Hispanic society, culture and literature, as well as skill-oriented courses, such as Translation Studies, Interpretation and Linguistics, which will assist the learner in establishing a cross-cultural dialogue between their native culture and the Hispanic culture. Upon completion of the programme, the learner will possess the ability to explicate and enumerate various aspects of these cultures. The programme will be delivered exclusively in Spanish by the experts in different fields of specialization. The learner will have the possibility to exit the programme after successfully completing the first year.
